All of the recipes are contributed by some of my favorite food bloggers. They are broken down into the following categories:
- Cheese/Charcuterie Platter ideas
- Appetizers & Sides
- Salads & Entrées
- Coffee/Tea/Hot Chocolate pairings
– Pick any (or several) recipes from each category to create your own unique menu!
– There are two meat pies in this collection, a traditional ground-beef pie and a chicken pie with whole wheat phyllo. I have classified one of them as an entrée and the other as an appetizer/side dish, mainly because of their presentation form, but the truth is they can both go either way. The combination of wheat or whole wheat phyllo with rice, herbs/veggies, and red or white meat makes for a very fulfilling dish. This is why, in Greece, pies of this kind, other than a delightful side, are often served as a main course.
– There are also two recipes for Kourabiedes, the traditional Greek, Christmas butter-cookies each with their unique, delightful twists. Please bear with us, they are an intrinsic part of our DNA code and we can’t possibly imagine Christmas without them! I’ve listed one as dessert and one as a coffee/tea pairing.

“The salmon salad with asparagus is an impressive opening for any festive dinner, although it can also be served alone as a light meal. “The super-food salad needs a semi-hard smoked cheese. I used ladotyri, but pecorino is a good alternative. Enjoy.” Eleni Anagnostopoulou @My Easy Gourmet

“These butter cookies are a family favourite. They are great for cookie exchanges. Make them ahead of time, freeze them, and take out a few dozen at a time when guests come over or when you’re going to visit family & friends: dip in different types of chocolate & add a few sprinkles on top!” Christine @Christine It
“Chocolate truffles on sticks are a great option for buffet style parties. They are also super easy to make which is a big plus when you have to cook for many people. Just make sure you make more than you think you will need. These treats disappear from the tray in no time.” Theodora Nanou @Sweet Applepie
