Inside the Boston Museum of Science: Exhibits, History & Highlights
Exploring the Boston Museum of Science.
The Boston Museum of Science is one of the city’s most popular attractions for families, science enthusiasts, and curious travellers. Located between Boston and Cambridge, the Museum of Science Boston offers hundreds of interactive exhibits, live demonstrations, a planetarium, and experiences that easily fill an entire day.
- Από τον Αύγουστο έως τον Οκτώβριο του 2004, ήταν το πρώτο μουσείο στις ΗΠΑ που παρουσίασε την έκθεση The Lord of the Rings/the Motion Picture Trilogy, έργο του μουσείου Te Papa Tongarewa της Νέας Ζηλανδίας, με πολλά από τα κοστούμια και τα αντικείμενα από τα σκηνικά των ταινιών.
(Body Worlds 2)
(Harry Potter/The Exhibition)
A Museum Designed for Discovery
So, if there are museums you visit once and museums you could happily return to again and again, the Boston Museum of Science belongs firmly in the second category. With hundreds of interactive exhibits, live demonstrations, and ever-changing special exhibitions, it’s one of Boston’s most engaging attractions—not just for children, but for endlessly curious adults as well.
Grossology
I almost regretted not having a kiddo around for this one. I would have loved to watch the reactions! Yes, your eyes don’t fool you… There was an entire exhibition dedicated to bodily functions and the display below is but a small example of said exhibition.

Nature and Geography
So on we went, from the wonders of the human organism to those of mother nature, from views of Boston to a room full of art dedicated to water, and from the magnificence of a common housefly to the science of ancient navigation and mid-century engineering.

That fly is amazingly huge. I hope it didn’t exist in the real world, that would make him bigger than me 😀 Pawkisses 🙂
